Who doesn’t want clear, radiant, perfect skin free from blemishes and wrinkles? Taking care your skin doesn’t have to be complicated. Here are a few simple to follow skin care tips - the do’s and don’ts of great skin care. Think of your skin as a reflection of you inner health and remember that your skin is a cleansing organ removing toxins that your colon, kidneys and liver can’t. If you’re having problems with your skin there could be an internal underlying cause. These skin care tips are for everyone, any age, male or female. STOP doing things that damage your skin like:
- Going out in strong sun without sunscreen
- Smoking
- Excessive drinking
- Going to bed without washing your face
START doing things that will promote healthy skin and reduce damage caused by environmental pollutants, the sun and stress:
- Take antioxidants (vitamins) orally
- Use natural skin care products with anti-oxidants - organic coconut oil contains anti-oxidants naturally
- Cleanse your system
- Eat whole foods
- Reduce stress
- Get enough sleep
Please have any unusual spots or discolorations checked by a dermatologist. Do not self-diagnose. Okay, so that’s what everyone should be doing, but what about the wrinkles?

Hi there, I’ve been having problems with my skin lately. I have real bad acne and can’t seem to get rid of it. I take medication and tried everything to buying different products but nothing seems to work. I walk everyday so I’m in the sun alot. My skin seems to be darker than usual cause of the acne. Please give some information or advice on what products I should be using.

Hi Elaine,
I’ve had a look around for information about acne and found many websites and products that looked very dubious. There is clearly a lot of money to be made on acne.
I did find this link which made a lot of sense to me. http://www.natural-acne-solution.com/index.html
Please have a look at this site. It’s written by someone who has had acne and has been successful in keeping his skin clear naturally. His reviews of products make sense and he doesn’t seem to be pushing any particular product, but rather an approach to living and eating that works for acne sufferers.
Please come back and let me and other readers know know what you think and how you get on.
Many years ago I was told by a very experienced and wonderful holistic health practitioner and homeopath, Elisabeth Schoeppel, that the skin is a cleansing organ and when you have problems with your internal cleansing organs (e.g. kidneys & liver), your skin will take over and will get rid of toxins which manifests as skin disorders (pimples, eczema etc). The Natural Acne Solution seems to work with this same idea.
Good luck!
Oh… and try to stay out of the sun, or at least wear a hat!
